Cleveland Indians outfielder Trevor Crowe has been shut down with what the team is calling right rotator cuff soreness in his shoulder. There is no timetable on his return and the team is hoping a little rest will cure the problem.
Crowe, who can play all three outfield positions, played in 122 games last year and hit .251 with two home runs and 36 runs batted in. He was second on the team with 20 stolen bases.
The projected starting outfield for the Indians this season is Grady Sizemore in center, Shin-Soo Choo in right, and Michael Brantley in left. Austin Kearns is projected to be the first outfielder to come off the bench.
